I just discovered that someone has violated the copyright limitations.

As clearly posted in my instructions, personal reproduction of this deck, Kings Court, does not violate any laws.  It is no different than photocopying some pages from a book for personal study - nobody gets hurt.  But, I just discovered this person who has posted my KK deck for sale, which is in complete violation of both my instructions, and also the copyrights by the authors of the game.  Please tell anyone who sees these locations to NOT download or PAY for those card images:

These must remain FREE - this guy is charging money for it.  And, it is my work, not his.  I never intended for anyone to try and make money here.  Thus, I must bring down the download archive because this guy is doing exactly the opposite of my intentions.

  2. I was just helping my wife with an estate sale when I came across an old King's Court game. My brother-in-law invented this game. I used have a game signed by Denny Crum who was an original investor in Janjohn games

  3. Is there anyway to get these files put back up?

I played this game for years and today actually remembered the title.

I'm from Louisville, KY and I think my brother and I had a very early version of the game.

I'm ready to go get this printed today please help me out.

    Thanks,

  4. Count me in, if you'd please. I lost my deck in a divorce. I'm over the x, but my life will never be the same without King's Court. I would love to make a deck to share with family and friends, never for sale.

    Thanks,

  5. Ok I don't want to upset anyone, but I to re-created this game after reading through this blog and determining that finding an entire set would be nearly impossible now.

I have drawn all the cards uising basic computer programs and had makeplayingcards.com actually print the cards, and they turned out way better than I had imagined.

It did cost me $40 to have it made, but I can re-order as many times as I need to and the leg work is already done. So if your interested I will gladly place the order again and have them (makeplayingcards.com) ship it directly to you.

That being said I do not have a copy of the instructions so if anyone on this blog has access to a copy of the original rules I would be very appreciative.

If you would like a copy of the game please just let me know by email

  6. I not only have the full deck but the full instructions also. My husband and I just happen to be at Thornbury's Toys in Louisville the day that Jon Johnson was marketing the product to them. We actually became distributors of the game out in California for a time. Is there a way to attach the instructions to this blog so that anyone that wants to can just print it off. Let me know. We are die-hard King's Court fans. Great game!!

  9. I would love the digital card file to reprint my own deck (not for sale). I have the complete set but my cards are HEAVILY used so scanning them doesn't render cards worth reprinting. Our signed box has been through 8 relocations but all of our kids love the game and it is time to reprint another set!

  10. I regret not paying the high price on ebay when I found a deck back 10 years ago. I'd easily pay it now, but can't find a deck for sale. Played this with my friends for years back in the '80s and would love to introduce it to my family and even a home-made deck would be better than not playing it at all. Any help would be very welcomed. DaveAtFlorida@yahoo.com
